The single-disc coulter, which is the main element of the PERSEUS series seed drills, unites farmers who practice different crop cultivation technologies. Due to the possibility of changing the load within 20‒250 kg, the coulter can be configured for sowing using traditional tillage technology, minimum tillage, and for sowing without prior tillage (the load is created by the tractor hydraulic system through the seed drill pressure cylinders and allows you to adjust the coulter pressure required for sowing). The main advantage of the single-disc coulter is the precise maintenance of the seed sowing depth.

Due to the location of the coulter support wheel coaxially with the monodisc axis, the seed placement depth is stable, relative to the sowing horizon. Uniformity of sowing in the row is achieved by installing a cyclone on the pneumatic seed pipe that cuts off the excessive transport flow immediately before sowing in the row. The pressing coulter or rolling wheel ensures contact of the seed with the soil at the bottom of the furrow, and the finishing rolling wheel ensures surface contact of the seed with the soil.

The arrangement of single-disc coulters in one row prevents uneven seed placement, which is a significant advantage over the staggered arrangement method in which the rear row can sprinkle the front sown row.
The rubber shock absorbers of the coulter copy the irregularities of the cultivated surface and create a load that allows you to cut through crop residues and soil and create a high-quality row of seeding.
The coulter tire has brackets for attaching row cleaner mechanisms as an additional option for sowing fields with uneven distribution of crop residues.
To prevent rapid wear of the sowing shoe in places of intense friction with the soil, high-strength wear-resistant carbide plates are installed.

PERSEUS units are manufactured in mounted and trailed versions, with a working width of 4 to 12 meters. Mounted units are equipped with a HERMES front hopper with a capacity of 1000, 1600, 2000 liters, with one or two seeding units, or can be mounted on a universal GEFEST trailer — equipped with volumetric hoppers of 2000+2000 liters. The trailed units are arranged as integral machines, equipped with hoppers with a capacity of 4000+4000 liters, an electric drive system for seeding units, a pressure turbine, tractor track looseners, a hydraulic system for folding and controlling the coulter press.
